What personal data we process

Personal data you provide to us

We process the personal data that you provide to us yourself.

Personal data we obtain other than directly from you

Within joint marketing campaigns, we may also process your personal data, for the purposes of marketing campaigns or for the purposes of the proper performance of a contract, and we may combine such data.

Should your personal data be transferred to another entity, we will inform you of this in advance, including stating to whom we are transferring the personal data. Likewise, if someone transfers your personal data to us, they must also inform you of this in advance.

Personal data of third parties that you provide to us

If you provide us with the personal data of third parties, it is your obligation to inform the person concerned and to obtain their consent to this privacy policy.

Personal data we process automatically

When you visit our website, we may collect certain information about you, such as your IP address, the date and time of access to our website, information about your web browser, operating system or language settings. We may also process information about your behaviour on our website, i.e. for example which links on our website you visit and which goods are displayed to you. However, for the sake of your maximum privacy, information about your behaviour on the website is anonymised and therefore not even we are able to attribute it to a specific user, i.e. a specific person.

If you access our website from a mobile phone or similar device, we may also process information about your mobile device (data about your mobile phone, any application crash logs, etc.).

Cookies and traffic measurement

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the shop to operate — they keep your basket, your login and your selected language. The website would not work without them, which is why consent is not required for them.

Analytics cookies are stored by the Google Analytics 4 service (Google Ireland Limited), which we use to monitor which pages interest you and what does not work on the website. It is loaded only after you give your consent — until then it stores nothing on your device and sends only anonymous signals without an identifier. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the Privacy settings link in the footer; it is equally easy in both directions.

We also measure website traffic and speed using the Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights services. These work without cookies and without tracking individual visitors, so they do not require consent.

We do not use advertising or remarketing tools and we do not sell measurement data.

Versions for mobile phones and mobile applications

If you access our website from a phone, tablet or similar device, we optimise it for these devices. In such a case, we process your personal data in a similar manner as when you access it from a computer.

We may also use the data collected in this way to send you tailored commercial communications. If you do not wish to receive them, you can easily unsubscribe completely from commercial communications using the button at the end of each email.

Why we collect and process your personal data

We process your personal data for the following reasons:

  • Purchase of goods and services: first and foremost, we process your personal data in order to properly handle and deliver your order. Should any problems arise, your personal data tells us whom we can contact.
  • Customer care: if you contact us with a query / problem, we need to process your data in order to answer / resolve it. In some cases, personal data may also be transferred to third parties (e.g. the carrier of the goods).
  • User account: thanks to the personal data you provide in your user profile, a range of useful features becomes available to you (e.g. if you provide your telephone number, we can easily inform you of when your order will be delivered). You may change the data you have entered at any time, with the exception of the email address, which is used to access your user account.
  • Marketing activities — email marketing: we send you commercial communications by email on the basis of your consent. You can easily unsubscribe from commercial communications by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the end of each email. If you create several user profiles in which you provide the same contact details (e.g. you have several accounts for different email addresses, but the telephone number is the same on all accounts), it is not possible for technical reasons to unsubscribe from commercial messages for all user profiles by means of automated processes. In such a case, in order to unsubscribe from commercial messages for all user profiles, you need to contact us by telephone or by email.
  • Marketing competitions: in some cases, the winner of a competition may be photographed or filmed, in particular in order to increase the transparency of our marketing competitions. We carry out this processing of personal data on the basis of our legitimate interest, which consists in increasing the credibility of marketing competitions in the eyes of other participants and in increasing the attractiveness of these competitions. You may object to this processing by telephone or by email.
  • Improving our services: using your order history and your behaviour on the website, we are able to make more relevant offers of further goods, e.g. accessories for purchased products. In certain places we therefore display products that are specifically for you and match your needs and interests. To optimise elements of the website, we may also use tools for testing different variants (so-called A/B testing) and the analytics tools listed in the section ‘Cookies and traffic measurement’.
  • Customer reviews of goods and services: after you purchase goods or services from us, you may be asked to review them. A review may also be submitted on your own initiative.
  • Telephone contact: if you contact us via our telephone number, we will record your telephone call after notifying you in advance. We use such recordings to monitor the quality of the services provided by our employees.
  • Exercise of rights and legal claims and inspections by public authorities: we may also process your personal data because we need it to exercise our rights and legal claims (e.g. where you have an outstanding debt owed to us). Furthermore, we may also process your personal data because we need it for the purposes of inspections carried out by public authorities and for other similarly serious reasons.

We process personal data on the following legal bases

Performance and conclusion of a contract

We need a large part of your personal data in order to be able to conclude a purchase or other contract with you at all regarding the goods or services you wish to purchase from us. Once the contract has been concluded, we process your personal data in order to properly deliver the purchased goods to you or to properly provide the purchased services. On the basis of this legal ground, we therefore process mainly billing and delivery data.

Legitimate interests

We also use your personal data to provide you with relevant content, i.e. content that is of interest to you. On the basis of legitimate interest, we process in this way mainly the personal data that we process automatically, and cookies.

On the same legal ground, we may send you, as our customers, email and SMS messages.

Consent

For the purposes of sending commercial communications (email marketing) and telemarketing, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent. If you do not give us your consent and you are our customer, we may send you commercial communications (or call you as part of telemarketing) even without you having given us your consent. In any case, however, you can easily prohibit such marketing communication from us by notifying us at our telephone number or by email.

If you give us your consent to the processing of personal data, you may withdraw it at any time by email or by telephone.

Transfer of personal data to third parties

We transfer your personal data to third parties in the following cases:

  • Delivery of goods: the carrier you have chosen would never be able to deliver the ordered goods to you if we did not, among other things, provide it with details of where and to whom exactly the goods are to be delivered. We provide these details to the carrier as you fill them in in your order. The data transferred in this way include in particular your first name and surname, delivery address, the telephone number at which the carrier can contact you and, if the goods have not been paid for in advance, also any amount to be paid on receipt of the goods. With regard to the personal data we provide to it, the carrier is entitled to process them only for the purposes of delivering the goods and must then erase the personal data without undue delay.
  • Delivery of goods stored for us by a contractual partner: if you order goods from us that are located in the warehouse of our contractual partner, we must, in order to complete the order, transfer your personal data to this contractual partner, who will process the order. The data transferred in this way include in particular your first name and surname, delivery address, the telephone number at which the carrier can contact you and, if the goods have not been paid for in advance, also any amount to be paid on receipt of the goods. This contractual partner must then transfer the said personal data to the carrier that will deliver the goods, as otherwise the carrier would not be able to deliver the goods to you. Both the contractual partner storing goods for us and the carrier are obliged, with regard to the personal data we transfer to them, to use such personal data only for the purposes of storage / delivery of the goods and then to erase them without undue delay.
  • Payment cards: our company does not hold data on the payment cards with which you pay us. Data on your payment cards are held only by the secure payment gateway and the relevant banking institution.

More information

  • Commercial communications: when sending commercial communications (e.g. by email or by SMS message) or carrying out telemarketing, we may use a third party for the mailing or telephone calls. This party is bound by a duty of confidentiality and may not use your personal data for any other purpose.
  • State authorities: when enforcing our rights, your personal data may be transferred to a third party (e.g. a lawyer). If the legal order or a state authority (e.g. the Police Force of the Slovak Republic) imposes on us an obligation to transfer your personal data to it, we must do so.

How long do we process your personal data?

First and foremost, we will process your data for the entire duration of the contractual relationship between us.

In the case of processing of personal data for which consent has been given, your personal data will generally be processed for a period of 7 years, or until such consent is withdrawn.

If you subscribe to commercial messages, we will process your personal data for a period of 7 years, or until you express your objection to receiving them further. You can easily express this objection by getting in touch with us at the telephone number +421 902 512 517, or by contacting us by email.

We further point out that the personal data necessary for the proper provision of services or for the fulfilment of all our obligations, whether these obligations arise from the contract between us or from generally binding legal regulations, must be processed by us regardless of the consent you have given, for the period laid down by the relevant legal regulations or in accordance with them (e.g. for tax documents this period is at least 10 years).

Data obtained through a user account or in another similar way are processed for the period during which you use our services and usually for a further 5 years after its cancellation. Thereafter, usually only basic identification data and information on the reason for which the user account was cancelled, or data forming part of operational backups, are stored for a reasonable period.

Recordings of telephone calls are retained for a short period, but no longer than 1 year, unless, on the grounds of legitimate interest, it is necessary for us to retain the recordings for a longer period (e.g. in the case of suspected misuse of data, fraud, etc.).

Security of personal data

Your personal data are safe with us. In order to prevent unauthorised access to and misuse of your personal data, we have implemented appropriate measures of both a technical and an organisational nature.

At Vandrák, we care greatly about the protection of your personal data. That is why we not only regularly check their security, but also continuously improve their protection.

We endeavour to use security measures that, taking into account the current state of the art, provide sufficient security. The security measures adopted are then regularly updated.

Our online shop is not intended for children under 16 years of age. A person under 16 years of age may use our online shop only if their legal representative (parent or guardian) gives consent to do so.

If we need your personal data for the establishment, exercise or defence of our legal claims, your request may be refused (e.g. where we record an outstanding debt owed by you or in the case of an ongoing complaint procedure).
